Home Buyers Checklist

Contact Mortgage Officer for Pre-approval
The Bank where you have your accounts offer these services.The realtor your working with can also reccoment a mortgage companey and will provide them with a copy of the Purchase & Sale Agreement (P&S Agreement) and all other necessary information

Locate Property

Complete Purchase and Sale Agreement
Bring your checkbook for the Good Faith Deposit

Select your Home Inspector
Let the agent your working with know who you've chosen and they can assist in coordinating the set up the appointment
Refer to Timeline from your P&S Agreement- typically 7 to 14 days

Contact Lender and complete the Full application
Refer to Timeline from your P&S Agreement- typically 7 days after signing

If you are working with the NH Home Team we use a Transaction Coordinator who will contact you to set up the time and place of the closing

Our Transaction Coordinator will:

  • Set the appointment for the home inspection and coordinate with us
  • Make sure all parties follow the Timeline in the P&S Agreement
  • Remind you to change the Utilities a minimum of 2 weeks prior to closing

If you are working with the NH Home Team you will be contacted typically the day prior to closing with your final closing figure (*see What to Expect at Closing for more details on the closing)

  • You will need to get a "Bank Check" for the closing
  • Make sure to bring your Driver's License with you or a valid photo ID
